Tom Ebling
Chief Executive Officer
Tom is responsible for leading the company to deliver on the promise of business optimization using math, data & technology. Tom has 20 years of experience in business management and software development. Prior to joining Lattice, Tom was Chairman and CEO of ProfitLogic, a leading provider of merchandise optimization solutions for retailers. The company was acquired by Oracle as a cornerstone of its retail strategy. Before ProfitLogic, Tom served as CEO of Torrent Systems, a data warehousing infrastructure software company (acquired by Ascential Software). Prior to his tenure at Torrent, Tom was Executive Vice President Customer Operations at Marcam Solutions, which he helped to grow through a successful IPO to become a $200 million company. Tom has a BA in Mathematics from Williams College.
Shashi Upadhyay, Ph.D.,
President & Chairman of the Board
Shashi is responsible for advancing Lattice's vision to deliver world-class analytics solutions to a global base of Fortune 500 customers. Before founding Lattice, he was a Partner at McKinsey & Company where he served several Fortune 500 clients on improving their productivity. During the last downturn, he worked with the CEOs of several troubled companies to help conduct operational and strategic turnarounds. He is currently an advisor to Amar Chitra Katha, the leading children's publication in India.
Shashi holds an undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur and a Ph.D. in Physics from Cornell University.
Kent McCormick, Ph.D.,
Chief Technology Officer
Kent is responsible for setting product direction and deployment activities. Before founding Lattice, Kent served as director of business operations at EMC. In this role, he had been leading pricing and operational analytics for all of EMC. Before this, Kent was a consultant at McKinsey & Company - working with Fortune 500 companies on product development, sales & marketing business problems.
He received a Ph.D. in Physics from Berkeley, and before that a dual-degree in Physics and Mathematics from Rice University.
Andrew Schwartz, Ph.D.
Chief Software Architect
Andrew is responsible for Lattice's software platform and leads the development team. He specializes in software architecture for numerical and middleware systems. Prior to Lattice, Andrew served as technical partner at R.T. Shin and Associates, a DARPA-funded knowledge management startup, senior company architect at ProfitLogic, senior application architect at 724 Solutions, and team lead at Algorithmics, Inc.
Andrew holds a B.Sc. in Pure Mathematics from McGill University and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Harvard University. He specialized in the fields of Algebraic Geometry and Mathematical Logic working with Heisuke Hironaka - a Fields Medalist.
Michael McCarroll
VP Customer Solutions
Michael is responsible for developing customer relationships in the High-Tech sector, and for aligning Lattice solutions to the needs of sales management. Michael was co-founder and President of InformLink - an analytics software provider acquired by Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in 2002. At CSC, Michael ran Americas sales for an analytics technology & services offering. Michael joined McKinsey & Company in 2003, where he implemented sales transformation programs at high-tech companies - focused on sales productivity, sales effectiveness and sales process improvement.
Michael holds a Bachelors degree in Quantitative Economics from Stanford University, and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from School of Engineering at Stanford University.
Andrew Somosi
VP Business Development
Andrew is responsible for developing customer relationships in the Financial Services, Media, and Pharmaceutical sectors, and pursuing business development opportunities with Lattice partners. Prior to joining the company, Andrew led online and strategic initiatives within the Corporate and Legal divisions of LexisNexis. He joined LexisNexis from McKinsey & Company where he was an Associate Principal serving Media and Financial Services clients.
Andrew has a BA in Economics and Political Science from Columbia University and an MBA from The Wharton School.
